Parent contacts club to express delight at mascot experience

22 August 2018

We were delighted to receive the below email from the parent of one of our mascots at the recent Cambridge United game:

"To all the staff, players and management at Northampton Town Football Club.

"My son was selected through Mick George to be a mascot for the day at the Cambridge game, he is only 4 and although he has attended numerous cobblers games he was very nervous in the days leading up to it, however from the minute we picked up our tickets at reception to the minute we left the players lounge half hour after the final whistle it was a fantastic day.

"All the playing staff signed his ball and programme, the welcome we received was amazing, Phil Mould was excellent with him and the other mascots along with his colleagues, parking was sorted at the stadium and our son also received a brand new home kit (which I only just managed to take off three days later.

"The biggest thrill was when he led the team out holding Ash Taylor's hand, an experience that I hope remains with him for life.

"I have been following NTFC myself for a few years now and am so proud to see how you all treat people behind the scenes, the day proved its more than just 90 minutes of football on a pitch, we have pictures and videos of his special day so thank you all once again, everybody is told by us that Northampton Town truly is a family club.
