Cobblers boss Dean Austin previews Saturday's home game against Cambridge United.
"I am very pleased with how we are working and I truly believe it's only a matter of time until we turn performances into results," he said.
"We have got a lot of room for improvement but the desire and application is there every day to try and make ourselves better.
"We are a little bit of a work in progress because we are trying to change the dynamic of the team a little bit and how we play but at the same time we want to be winning games of football.
"I want us to play fast offensive football at a high intensity and entertain the crowd.
"I totally understand the restlessness from the supporters but we really need them now to help us press on and keep the team on the front foot.
"I've got complete confidence in this group and I wouldn't swap this squad for any other squad in the division."
