Cobblers boss Dean Austin previews Saturday's game at Colchester United.
"We've not had the start to the season that we would have wanted in terms of points and we need to do something about that," he said.
Colchester are a decent outfit as they have shown so far and although we are still at the start of a process I am well aware we need to pick up results along the way.
"We've not got what we've deserved from some games but for 65 minutes on Tuesday night we were well below the levels we need to be.
"No matter the job we do we all have bad days at the office but the effort and intensity still needs to be there.
"Our fans deserved better on Tuesday night and I want a result on Saturday for them but talk is cheap and we need to do it on the pitch.
"Seeing how teams have celebrated results against us I think we are the hunted in this division and we are a decent scalp but where we are right now we need to go hunting again."
