YOUTH TEAM END SEASON WITH 5-2 WIN AGAINST LEYTON ORIENT

Final EFL Youth Alliance Merit Division action of the season

28 April 2018

Northampton Town's youth team rounded off their season with a home game against Leyton Orient at Moulton College on Saturday.

Jack Daldy (2), Sean Whaler, Camron McWilliams and Michael Harding were all on target as the Cobblers ended the campaign with a 5-2 victory, extending their unbeaten run to eight matches in the process.

"It was another good performance all round," said Head of Coaching Lee Garlick.

"It was a close first half and the game could have gone either way but at 2-2 we really kicked on. We played some good football and we were a lot more clinical.

"It's another very pleasing result and performance and it was good to see Michael Harding, who is an under 16, get on the scoresheet.

"The lads have been brilliant in this run , they picked up where Jon Brady left off and it has been really good to see some of the younger players coming through as well.

"It's been a positive end to the season and hopefully we can really take this on again next season."
