DEAN AUSTIN 'PROUD OF THE WHOLE CLUB' AFTER VICTORY OVER PLYMOUTH

The Cobblers caretaker manager looks back on Saturday's game

21 April 2018

Cobblers caretaker boss Dean Austin was full of pride as he reflected on Saturday’s vital 2-0 home win against Plymouth.

“I’m really proud of everyone in the club and this place was absolutely rocking today,” he said.

“You could sense the atmosphere was going to be good and the crowd fed off how we started the game.

“We’ve worked very hard on our game in the last two weeks and we defended from the front today. Richard O’Donnell didn’t have much to do but he managed the game superbly.

“I gave John-Joe O'Toole a big responsibility today but it’s hard to single anyone out because everybody did their job.

“This group is more than capable of holding its own in this division but you need that little bit of belief and sometimes when things aren’t going your way you can get a little bit bogged down and I truly believe that is what has happened to us this season.

“We need to enjoy this win but we have got another two games to go and come Monday we need to get ready for Walsall.

“There will be teams looking over their shoulder now, we are going hunting and we are going to hunt these teams down.”
