Cobblers caretaker manager Dean Austin says that Saturday’s game at Bury is a 'massive' game, but he wants his players to go out and play with freedom.
“It’s obviously a massive game and I don’t think you can really play it down,” he said.
“You are only one game away from changing the momentum and if we can win on Saturday then it changes the whole situation. Suddenly the teams above you can come under pressure and the hunters become the hunted.
“Everyone handles pressure in different ways but it’s not the time for talking now, it’s the time for doing.
“There are two things you can’t give players, you can’t give them desire and you can’t give them confidence.
“That said, we are trying everything we can to instil as much confidence as possible into the players and we see it in training but a game is totally different.
“I believe in this group but they need to believe in themselves and if we can get the first goal you might see a totally different team.”
