Northampton Town's youth team welcomed MK Dons to Moulton College on Saturday for their latest EFL Youth Alliance fixture.
Jarvis Wilson scored for the Cobblers in a 1-1 draw with coach Jon Brady delighted with his side’s display.
“It was an absolutely fantastic display from the boys against the team top of the table and who have only lost once this season,” he said.
“Our possession of the ball was excellent and we played with a real purpose. We lead 1-0 going into the last five minutes and it perhaps shows how far we’ve come that in a way it feels like a defeat.
“The boys showed great character, we dominated the game and we had chances to put the game to bed but unfortunately we couldn’t quite see it through.”
