MATT CROOKS A DOUBT FOR ROTHERHAM TRIP

Midfielder to be assessed after injury on Tuesday

Midfielder Matt Crooks (knee) is a doubt for Saturday’s trip to Rotherham United. Crooks came off at half time during Tuesday's draw at MK Dons having been injured in the final action of the first half.

“Matt is still being assessed,” said boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

“He got a kick on his knee when he had a shot just before half-time on Tuesday and he twisted it a little bit. Fingers crossed he will be okay but we will have to wait and see.

“John-Joe O'Toole is running hard and he should be back with the squad in the next week.

“The operation that he had went well and so far all the signs are good.

“Chris Long has been struggling with his hamstring a little bit for a while and we are going to leave him out for a bit to try and get that right. I want him to get the problem sorted out once and for all before he comes back.

“Aaron Phillips is off the crutches but still a little way off but Sam Foley is ready for selection.

“I’m looking to add to the squad but it’s very difficult to find the right player. We are looking around the free agents available but it’s going to be hard.”
