Cobblers boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink praised both the supporters and his players as he looked back on Tuesday night’s goalless draw at MK Dons.
"First of all I would like to thank the travelling supporters," he said.
"They were magnificent and they really got behind the players. I hope they appreciated the performance and can see the progress we are making.
“We played really well and I thought we deserved more.
“We played some good football, we kept the ball well and we pressed MK Dons and pushed them back.
“I thought we were the better team, we had the best chances and in a way its two points lost but on the other hand it’s a good point away from home and we can build on this going into the next game.
“I would have liked to have won but I’m very happy with the performance.”
