JIMMY FLOYD HASSELBAINK EXPECTING DIFFERENT KIND OF TEST AT ROTHERHAM

Cobblers boss loking to build on midweek performance at Milton Keynes

Cobblers boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink says he expects Saturday’s game away at Rotherham United to be a different type of test for his team.

After an excellent performance in Tuesday's 0-0 draw at MK Dons, Hasselbaink is looking for his side to build further on that performance but he says his squad will have to be ready for the free scoring Millers.

“Rotherham play with a lot of energy and we know it’s going to be another tough game,” he said.

“They will put us under pressure, they have pace down the sides and it’s going to be another challenge. We might have to play in a slightly different way but first we have to compete.

“I’m very happy with how we played at MK Dons, we deserved more but if we can’t win we have to make sure we don’t lose. That’s very important.

“The maturity in the team was second to none on Tuesday night, we were compact and we played with good energy.

“Confidence is a big thing but the more we get those type of performances the more confidence the players will get.

“I’m happy with the chances we are creating and if we keep on creating those chances then they will go in.

“Of course we want more goals but we have to keep creating those chances.”
