JIMMY FLOYD HASSELBAINK SAYS PLAYERS START WITH A CLEAN SLATE

Places up for grabs for those who impress the Cobblers boss

7 September 2017

New Northampton Town manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink says that places are up for grabs in his Cobblers side.

Hasselbaink will name his first Cobblers line up for the visit of Doncaster Rovers on Saturday (tickets via ntfcdirect.co.uk), and he admitted there is plenty to play for.

“All the players have a clean slate," he said.

“We have players here with ability and talent but it’s about putting the work in and showing that dedication that you need to be successful.

“We need to get that positivity and confidence back.

“I’ve said to the players that we have a lot of talent here but talent doesn’t mean anything if you don’t have the dedication and hard work to go with it.

“With hard work and dedication that talent will shine.”
