YOUTH TEAM BEATEN AT STEVENAGE

EFL Youth Alliance action

28 October 2017

Northampton Town's youth team travelled to Stevenage on Saturday in the EFL Youth Alliance.

Despite goals from Shama Bako and Lewis Irwin, the Cobblers were beaten 4-2, a result that left coach Jon Brady frustrated.

“Certain decisions went against us and I felt we deserved at least a draw,” he said.

“You don’t always get what you deserve in football but that is all part of the learning curve for these boys as well.

“It’s very frustrating but the game is gone now and we move on to the FA Youth Cup tie at Buckingham on Thursday night.”
