CHRIS LONG COULD RETURN AT ROCHDALE

All the team news ahead of Rochdale v Northampton Town

17 October 2017

Striker Chris Long could be set for a return as Northampton Town travel to Rochdale on Tuesday night.

Long has been absent with a hamstring injury since being withdrawn with the injury against Bradford City on September 23rd. Meanwhile fellow striker Marc Richards will undergo a late fitness test.

However, Alex Revell (suspended), Matt Crooks (knee), Leon Barnett (Achilles) and Aaron Phillips (thigh) remain unavailable for selection.

“Marc is touch and go for Tuesday so we will wait on him but Chris should be back,” said boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

“Sam Hoskins is still only just coming back, he’s been out for a long time and I probably played him for longer on Saturday than I actually should.

“He needs time but he will get there.

“John-Joe O'Toole did really well in training last week which is why I put him on the bench.

“I knew it would lift the fans to see him back, he’s committed and we need that steel in the team.”
