Cobblers boss looking for a reaction when AFC Wimbledon visit Sixfields

12 October 2017

Cobblers boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has been preparing his team for the visit of AFC Wimbledon on Saturday and talking about the need for everybody to be fully prepared ahead of a busy week.

“It’s for us all to step up,” he said.

“The performance against Bristol Rovers was not acceptable, since I’ve been here I’ve been positive because the performances have been good but the performance on Saturday wasn’t us.

“You have to take responsibility and we all have to do that.

“It was a difficult few days after Bristol Rovers but it was important we spoke about it as a group and were truthful with each other.

“Certain things you can never forget about and you should never forget about. You should use it as a marker and know that you don’t want to have that feeling again.

“We all need to stand up and be counted and show that we care. we want to put this right, not just for this Saturday but for the whole season.

“There is still a lot of work to be done but we need to go back to how we were when I came in.”
