Cobblers boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has challenged his players to improve as they prepare for Tuesday’s Checkatrade Trophy game at Peterborough.
“We need to get better and we need to put the ball in the net, it’s as simple as that,” he said.
“I think it is a psychological thing but you have to just keep working hard and doing the right things.
“There is still a lot of hard work to be done, we knew that when we came in that it wasn’t going to be easy but we need to keep working.
“I was disappointed on Saturday but we were excellent against MK Dons and we need that consistency to be a good team.”
