INTRODUCING THE CLARET COBBLER

Greyhound will be representing the Cobblers as part of link up with Towcester Racecourse

26 October 2017

As part of the partnership between the Cobblers and Towcester Racecourse in support of their greyhound programme, Northampton Town Football Club are now proud owners of The Claret Cobbler greyhound!

The Claret Cobbler isn't a midfield terrier but he does offer pace and lots of it, and he can be seen performing regularly at the Towcester Greyhound track!

He will be at Saturday’s game to meet fans, and supporters will be able to follow his progress through the club's media channels. The 2 year old has already been in action and he came second in his most recent outing, at Towcester on Tuesday.

The link up between the club and Towcester Racecourse will see a number of events and promotions to benefit supporters, with a special Fans Night meeting set for the March 17th meeting at the Towcester Greyhound track.

The Fans Night will include free entry, a free race programme that includes a £2 free bet, a free drink (lager or equivalent) and a free footlong sausage in a baguette. Your admission must be pre-booked online (details to follow) and is open to season ticket holders only, your season ticket must be shown when collecting the package at the stadium on the evening.

When the Claret Cobbler stops racing, he will move into the club's Education Centres where he’ll be looked after. He will be there to help create a relaxed environment to assist the students with their learning.
