The Northampton Town youth team overcame Rothwell Corinthians 7-0 in the second round of the Dave Joyce Cup on Monday night.
A first half seven goal blitz secured the Cobblers passage through to the quarter finals with the goals coming from Jack Daldy (3), Shama Bako (2), Haydn Price and Joe Jarvis.
"It was a very professional performance from a really young side," said Assistant Academy Manager Mark Lyons.
"We gave an opportunity to some of our younger players, six of the starting line up were under 16 players and we were very pleased with a good team performance."
