HOST OF PLAYERS AVAILABLE TO RETURN AS SCUNTHORPE VISIT SIXFIELDS

Cobblers boss has options as Scunthorpe United come to Sixfields

17 November 2017

Cobblers boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has options going into Saturday’s home game against Scunthorpe United with Matt Grimes, back from suspension and Regan Poole, back from international duty with the Wales under 21s both added to the squad. Goalkeeper Matt Ingram is also available.

Leon Barnett (Achilles), named on the bench at Glanford Park, is also available for selection and hopes are high that Daniel Powell remain but doubts remain over Sam Hoskins (hamstring).

Alex Revell (groin) and Aaron Phillips (thigh) remain sidelined.

“I have choices and we have to have a look at what we are going to do,” he said.

“Sam (Hoskins) is running but I don’t know if he will be available for Saturday.

“Billy Waters is a similar player to Sam and we like to play with a player like that. It was a tough decision not to start Billy on Tuesday night because he did really well at Oxford but we are in a busy run of games and we have to be mindful of that.

“Some players were rested on Tuesday night and some weren’t but we have Matt Grimes and Regan Poole both back for Saturday.

“John-Joe O'Toole hasn’t been back from injury long and we have had to manage him a little bit but he is fine.”
