We were delighted to receive the below email from Terry Howard and Natasha Johnson after Layla Howard was a mascot at the Gillingham game on Sunday.
I am writing to thank you for the hospitality shown to us today, and for giving our daughter a day to remember.
She was blown away by the experience and left with a smile on her face. The staff and players were fantastic, Phil Mould, John-Joe O’Toole, Alex Revell and David Cornell especially.
Even though John-Joe O’Toole was injured he took the time (twice) to meet with Layla and was a great ambassador to the club not just on the field but off it as well.
Alex Revell was great, when Layla became shy in the dressing room and tried his utmost to build her confidence back up for her to enjoy her day.
Dave Cornell held Layla’s hand on to the pitch and smile on her face was a delight to see and this made her day, she came back explaining how he had big gloves and was really nice.
Lastly we would like to thank Phil Mould who was an excellent host and he couldn’t do enough to support the families through today (not only ours). The hospitality was excellent and he made the whole package and enjoyable one. He asked John-Joe if he was free for Layla to have a picture, provided us all with marker pens etc. he, the team and the club just went above and beyond.
The club should be proud to make a little girls dream come true and meet her idols and they live up to her expectations
Thanks again
Terry Howard & Natasha Johnson
