JUSTIN EDINBURGH WARNS PLAYERS STANDARDS MUST NOT DROP

The Cobblers boss previews AFC Wimbledon v Northampton Town

Cobblers boss Justin Edinburgh is targeting an improvement in the results achieved away from home as he previews Saturday’s trip to AFC Wimbledon.

“We’ve had some good performances away from home but we haven’t had the points tally to go with it,” he said.

“We have got to try and put that right and Saturday gives us that opportunity.

“Wimbledon have had some great results this season, there is a good balance in their team and I’m expecting a real engaging battle for our team and certainly the back four.

“We know how quickly things can change if we don’t perform at the level we’ve reached in my time here.

“Our focus didn’t change after the defeat against Oldham and what Saturday did was tick another win off.

“We didn’t create as many chances against Charlton as in our previous three games but we got the three points and that’s what matters.”
