The Cobblers boss reflects on AFC Wimbledon 0 Northampton Town 1
Cobblers boss Justin Edinburgh felt that Saturday’s 1-0 win at AFC Wimbledon was an important result in the context of the season.
“Its a huge victory and it was a fantastic team performance,” he said.
“We defended well as a team when we needed to, it was a resolute performance and when our opportunity came along we took it.
“Marc Richards obviously wanted to make amends with the penalty and it was a big call but I just felt it was right for Matty Taylor to take it.
“Keshi Anderson lifted us when he came on and all three subs made a difference today.
“It was a great all round performance, the fans were terrific and they got right behind us from the off.
“We’ve got another big game now against Port Vale on Tuesday and we look forward to that.”
