The Cobblers boss previews Bolton Wanderers v Northampton Town

Cobblers boss Justin Edinburgh is under no illusions of the size of the task facing his team in Saturday’s trip to Bolton Wanderers.

“It’s going to be tough and we will need a top performance if we want to get anything from the game," he said.

“I went there with Gillingham in the early part of the season and was on the end of a bad result.

“They are a team that is physically strong and they have got a lot of experienced players.

“It’s going to take a real top performance in terms of commitment, resilience and real bright play.

“We will need to be ruthless in both boxes and it is going to take a big push to get anything.

“We feel we are capable but everyone will need to be on top of their game.

“We are heading in the right direction and my focus is on making sure that we finish this season strongly.

“We want to win as many football matches as possible and I want us to keep performing at a high level and if we don’t perform at our best we need to keep finding a way to win.

“There is a lot of football still to be played and we want to finish as high up the league as we can."
