Justin Edinburgh has backed the new signings made so far this summer to settle into the squad quickly.
So far, the Cobblers boss has added George Smith, Leon Barnett, Daniel Powell, Sam Foley, Dean Bowditch, Leon Lobjoit and Billy Waters to the squad with more to follow, and Edinburgh says they will fit in well.
“Everyone is excited and hopefully the new signings we have made will integrate into the group pretty quickly," he said.
“We are still looking to add to the squad but it’s just great to be back.
“Andy Melville and everyone at the club has worked hard behind the scenes over the summer on the recruitment side of things. It’s been a good summer so far and I’m pleased with what we’ve done but there is still work to do.
“I’m delighted with the players we’ve got and the quality we’ve brought in and we want to try and continue that.
“The new investment allows us to strengthen further but it’s important we get the balance in the squad right.
“It’s an exciting time but we still have to be mindful and we will only pay what we feel is right for a player."
