Northampton Town manager Justin Edinburgh says the arrival of 5USport at Sixfields means this heralds the start of a bright new chapter for the club.
“This is a really exciting time," he said.
“Kelvin Thomas made me fully aware of what was going on and anything that allows us to strengthen the squad even more is a great thing.
“We are not going to be throwing needless money away and we are certainly not going to be reckless but it will allow us to become a bit more competitive in what is going to be a very tough division.
“I have had full assurances from Kelvin that nothing changes in terms of my position, I guess with the investment comes a bit more pressure but I’d much rather have that than not.
“I had dinner with some of the investors this week and everything is as normal for myself, the staff and the players.
“We know we need to be better than we were last year and we want to continue the progression of this football club."
