Justin Edinburgh says the Cobblers pre-season trip to Spain will be a time for the new look squad to gel together.
The players fly out to Spain on Sunday July 9th, returning to England on Saturday July 15th and Edinburgh says that will be an important week.
“It’s a week where we can solely concentrate on really working the players hard whilst giving them some good rest time as well," he said.
“Everyone will be together and that will really propel the team spirit and help build the bond any group that wants to be successful needs.
“We need to get that right because if we don’t then that success we all crave won’t happen."
The Cobblers boss was also pleased to be able to add a pre-season friendly against former club Newport County to the schedule.
“I had a fantastic time there and it will be great to see a few old faces," he said.
“Michael Flynn who was a player for me there is now the manager and it will be a good test for us before the start of the season."
