FROME TRIP HELPS RAISE £900 FOR CHARITY

Tuesday night's friendly helps benefit charity partner

19 July 2017

Northampton Town are delighted that Tuesday's pre-season friendly at Frome Town helped raise £900 for the SpecialEffect charity.

The Cobblers made the trip to the Evo-Stik Southern League side to show the club's support for the charity and to remember one of their ambassadors.

SpecialEffect are one of the club's official charity partners while Frome Town supporter and SpecialEffect ambassador Tom Clark sadly passed away last year, and Tuesday's game was played his memory with the admission proceeds from the game being donated to the charity.

SpecialEffect help people with physical disabilities to play and enjoy video games. By using technology ranging from modified joypads to eye-control, they find a way for people to play to the very best of their abilities. Their work helps bring families and friends together, having a profoundly positive impact on therapy, confidence and rehabilitation.

We would like to thank all supporters who made the trip for their support.

The Cobblers won the game in Somerset 4-0 with goals from Marc Richards, Daniel Powell, Alex Revell and Dean Bowditch.
