EFL Youth Alliance action
The Northampton Town under 18s travelled to Peterborough United on Saturday morning in their latest EFL Youth Alliance action.
The Cobblers won the game 4-3 with goals from Lewis Irwin, James Hammond, Josh McCammon and Alex Gillard.
“It was a much improved performance in possession,” said Professional Development Phase coach Mark Lyons.
“We played with energy and the players showed good character to come from behind to win the game.
“However we conceded a couple of goals from set pieces which is disappointing and that’s something we need to keep working on.”
