New manager wants team to produce high intensity football
New manager Justin Edinburgh says he believes he can help take Northampton Town forward.
“I feel I’ve got a lot to offer, I believe I’ve improved the clubs that I’ve been at and I’ll be looking to do the same here," he said.
“In terms of an ethos I think first and foremost it has to be winning football matches.
“We need to win some games, how we do it is going to be in different ways because we need to get some wins on the board as quickly as possible.
“The style of play for a new manager to implement is easier than a formation because you need to work with the players you’ve got.
“I like my teams to play with a high intensity, on the front foot with controlled aggression.
“I want the fans to enjoy watching us play and when they leave the stadium I want them to look forward to coming back.
“We need to show a passion and attitude and teams need to fear coming here.
“We need to be a team that is hard to play against, someone who teams don’t want to play against and a team who fans want to come along and watch."
