The Cobblers have no fresh injury concerns ahead of Saturday’s trip to Southend United.

Gabriel Zakuani (hamstring) and Alex Revell (calf) could both come into contention with Brendan Moloney (knee) also not too far away from a return to action.

“Everybody is fine from Tuesday night,” confirmed assistant boss David Kerslake.

“Luke Williams is still being assessed and the medical staff are erring on the side of caution with him.

“I don’t think his injury is as bad as first feared but we are probably still looking at least another couple of weeks.

“Gaby and Revs have had a couple of hard days training and we will assess both of them on Friday. Brendan is coming on well and I’d expect him back next week.

“We’ve got some serious players coming back and that will be a major boost to the squad.”
