Striker Alex Revell is pushing for a return to the Cobblers squad following a calf injury.

Revell could return to the matchday 18 for Saturday’s trip to Fleetwood while Luke Williams and Brendan Moloney are also not too far off a return to training.

“We’ve got no fresh injuries,” said boss Justin Edinburgh.

“We had Gaby back for last weekend which was a big plus and the rest are pushing.

“Revs could be in with a chance of being involved on Saturday and Luke Williams and Brendan Moloney are not too far behind.

“Luke has been back with Scunthorpe, he’s been out on the grass this week and if all continues to go well he’ll be back with us and training on Monday.

“Brendan is still working with the physio and we are probably looking at another couple of weeks before he is able to come back into the squad.

“Keshi Anderson was disappointed to be left out last Saturday and that's the reaction I wanted but with the amount of football he’d had in a short space of time I felt we needed to freshen things up.

“I feel that there is more to come from this squad and once we get those players back that will bring real competition for places.

“We are getting stronger but you need that competition and when we have those players back it will be better for everyone.”
