Cobblers boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink praised his team as he reflected on Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers.
“My players were absolutely magnificent today,” he said.
“The work rate and the commitment was excellent and against a really good Blackburn side they didn’t look out of place.
“In the first half we were on top without creating too much but we then had a really good chance at the start of the second half where we should score.
“It wasn’t easy for Blackburn, we matched them and we had a chance to win the game.
“We had to really dig in at times but I’m really happy with the performance.”
