JAMES GOFF HEADS OUT ON LOAN

Young 'keeper joines St Ives on one month loan

25 August 2017

Northampton Town goalkeeper James Goff has joined Evo-Stik Southern Premier League side St Ives on a month's loan.

18 year old Goff, who signed his first professional contract at Sixfields in the summer, enjoyed a successful loan spell at Sileby Rangers last season.

"This is an excellent opportunity for James," said manager Justin Edinburgh.

"He benefitted a lot from his loan spell with Sileby Rangers last season and I'm sure this new loan spell will also help him as he gains experience. As with any young player, they learn a huge amount from playing senior, first team football on a regular basis and this move is ideal for him.

"We will monitor his progress closely and we wish him well at St Ives."
