BARNETT AND O'TOOLE COULD RETURN FOR VALLEY TRIP

Team news ahead of Saturday's game at Charlton Athletic

18 August 2017

Northampton Town boss Justin Edinburgh is pleased with an improving injury situation that will increase options in his squad.

Leon Barnett returns from suspension for Saturday’s game at Charlton Athletic, while John-Joe O’Toole may also be available. With Shaun McWilliams and Brendan Moloney also returning to action last week, the number of options available is increasing.

"Shaun McWilliams is available again as is Brendan Moloney and that is good news,” said the Cobblers boss.

“Sam Hoskins is progressing really well while John-Joe O'Toole has gone to see a specialist this week. He is improving but we just want to get the specialist's opinion on his progress and it is just a case of building his workload up and getting him back on the pitch as soon as possible.

"Leon Barnett is back in contention and if John-Joe O'Toole gets some good news from the specialist then who knows, he may come into contention as well."
