SUPPORTERS NEEDED TO TAKE PART IN FILMING FOR THE TWELFTH PLAYER

19 April 2017

Fans can take part in this summer's production

We are looking for supporters who wish to take part in crowd scenes in the production of The Twelfth Player.

The Twelfth Player is a partnership between Fermynwoods Contemporary Art, Royal & Derngate and Northampton Town Football Club taking place this summer and will see audiences go behind the scenes on a 45 minute walking tour around Sixfields Stadium and through the past seventy years of the club’s history, viewing the passionate world of football through the eyes of three generations of a family of Cobblers supporters.

Taking place in the real world and on screen, this audio-visual performance devised by Seven Sisters Group blends site-specific performance and handheld video technology, moving the audience seamlessly between brilliantly observed characters.

The film will be watched by visitors on an iPod as they walk around the stadium and we are looking for supporters who wish to be in the crowd scenes.

The rehearsals will take place on Saturday 22nd April, between 10am-12noon, and the filming will take place on Wednesday 3rd May, 5-7pm at Sixfields. Volunteer fans will need to attend both times please.

If you are interested, please email madeleine@madeleinewillis.com

Tickets for the performances are available now from royalandderngate.co.uk and the performances run from 17 May to 11 July.
