Midfielder John-Joe O'Toole and right back Brendan Moloney will both be hoping for a recall when Shrewsbury Town visit Sixfields on Easter Monday (3pm.)

Neither started the Good Friday trip to Millwall, Moloney wasn't risked after making his return last week following a lengthy injury lay off while O'Toole has a groin problem, which the Cobblers are managing to get through to the end of the season.

However, both could be in the frame to start Monday's game against the Shrews.

“John-Joe will be fit for selection,” confirmed boss Justin Edinburgh.

“It’s good to have him back in the fold and that gives us a big boost.

"Likewise Brendan Moloney is fit and available and that is good news."

Edinburgh has meanwhile provided an update on the fitness of Michael Smith and Luke Williams, who were both forced off in the game at Millwall on Friday.

“Michael took a blow to the leg on Friday and we are currently monitoring him," he said.

“Hopefully it’s not too severe but we will have to wait and see.

“With Luke it looks like a return of his hamstring injury and if that’s the case it is probably his season over for him.”
