EFL Youth Alliance action
Northampton Town’s youth team travelled to AFC Wimbledon on Saturday in the EFL Youth Alliance.
The Cobblers won the game 2-1 with goals from Joe Iaciofano and Ben Toseland.
“We are starting to develop much better team performances,” said Professional Development Phase Coach Mark Lyons.
“We had some excellent spells in possession and we moved the ball around really well at times.
“Our game management needs to be a little bit better with and without the ball but we created loads of chances against a strong Wimbledon side and overall the signs are really encouraging.”
