TOMMY AND ELSIE WERE SPECIAL GUESTS ON SUNDAY

5 September 2016

Young supporters met the squad at the game

We were delighted to welcome two very special guests to the game on Sunday.

In January 2014, five year old Tommy Lines (Grandson of former Northampton Town player Barry Lines) was diagnosed with a rare, cancerous brain tumour. He has spent the last 2 years undergoing three brain surgeries, receiving proton beam therapy treatment in the US and months of high dose chemotherapy. Tommy is now cancer free, in remission and enjoying football again!

In March 2015 3 year old Elsie was diagnosed with a grade 4, cancerous brain tumour. She underwent 12 hours of emergency surgery followed by 5 cycles of intensive chemotherapy, further surgery and high dose chemo. During this time Elsie spent a month in isolation in the John Radcliffe Hospital accompanied by her favourite teddy Clarence.

We invited both Tommy and Elsie to the game on Sunday to meet some of the players. Great to see you guys, we hope you had a good day.
