ROB PAGE LOOKING TO BOUNCE STRAIGHT BACK

17 September 2016

Rob Page reflects on Chesterfield 3 Northampton Town 1

Cobblers boss Rob Page challenged his players to bounce back as he reflected on Saturday’s 3-1 defeat at Chesterfield.

“We’ve lost a game and now it’s how we react to that,” he said.

“It’s been a fantastic run but we knew it was always going to come to an end at some point.

“The goals we gave away were disappointing and we gave the ball away far too cheaply at times.

“We got ourselves back into the game at 2-1 but then gave another goal away of our own doing.

"I’ve got to say the supporters were fantastic and the reception they gave the players at the end was incredible.

“Nobody likes losing games and the players are all hurting in the dressing room but we can’t feel sorry for ourselves.

“We’ve got a fantastic game to look forward to and I guarantee we will be ready for Manchester United on Wednesday.”
