CHAIRMAN THRILLED WITH 32% INCREASE IN EARLY ATTENDANCES

9 September 2016

Kelvin Thomas delighted with level of support

Chairman Kelvin Thomas is delighted with a significant increase in attendances at Sixfields.

Northampton Town's first three home league games in 2016/17 have seen a 32% increase in attendances on the first three home games of last season, and the Chairman feels that is down to the performances of Rob Page and the team and an increase level of marketing.

"The club's profile is rising and that is great," he said.

"Attendances have been very good, we are 32% up on last season so far which is great and the number of home fans is up 29% and that is very, very encouraging and we are really pleased.

"Season tickets are up but we have also kept up the numbers of supporters buying tickets on a matchday. That is credit to Rob and the players and also the work we are doing behind the scenes."
