All the team news ahead of Scunthorpe United v Northampton Town

The Cobblers will be without defender Gabriel Zakuani for Saturday’s trip to Scunthorpe.

Zakuani is away on international duty with DR Congo.

“Gabs is away and he is a big miss for us because he brings a lot to the team,” said boss Rob Page.

“We’ve brought Lewin  Ntatanga in and he’s in contention with Rod McDonald and Zander Diamond.

“We had a couple of knocks from last weekend and I wasn’t prepared to risk anyone against Coventry with the game we’ve got coming up on Saturday.

“Tuesday was an opportunity for some players who haven’t had as many minutes as they would like and some will have really reaped the rewards from that.

“Rico got a goal and played just over an hour and his injury is fine now. He’s just working towards match fitness and that would have certainly helped the other night.

“Harry Beautyman came off with a knock but he has improved. We are still assessing him and he will definitely be in contention for Saturday.

“I was disappointed with the result on Tuesday but I stand by my decision to make those changes.”
