Initial meeting to take place at Sixfields
As part of Northampton Town's recently announced Supporters Engagement Charter which detailed the club's commitment to engage with and listen to the views and opinions of supporters, the club confirmed its intention to create a Supporters Advisory Panel.
The club are inviting all supporters interested in joining the panel to an initial meeting at Sixfields on Thursday (October 20th) at 7.30pm.
"This is a hugely important step for us as we are an open football club who are committed to giving all supporters a voice and we are looking for a cross section of supporters to represent all areas of our fanbase on this panel," said Chairman Kelvin Thomas.
"Whilst we have invited the Supporters Trust, all the travel clubs and other groups, supporters who aren't necessarily affiliated to any particular group are also very welcome. We are looking to cast the net as far and as wide as possible as the idea is to ensure we receive feedback and opinion from across the spectrum of our support.
"The initial meeting is likely to form the structure of the group and to plan the way forward."
In the club's published Supporters Engagement Charter it is expected the panel will meet 3 times per year with additional informal discussions as required.
