ROB PAGE PROUD OF RESPONSE FROM PLAYERS AT SHREWSBURY TOWN

22 October 2016

Rob Page reflects on Shrewsbury Town 2 Northampton Town 4

Cobblers boss Rob Page was a happy man as he reflected on Saturday’s 4-2 away win at Shrewsbury.

“It was a good day for us today and thoroughly deserved,” he said.

“We felt for the supporters on Tuesday night and hopefully that will go a little way to thanking them for their support.

“We’ve had a tough couple of weeks, every team goes through spells like that but I’m really proud of the players today.

“JJ Hooper, Sam Hoskins and Alex Revell worked tirelessly, Jak McCourt controlled the game for us and his set play delivery was exceptional.

“It was a good team performance, we looked dangerous every time we went forward and we could have scored more.

“We haven’t had that level of performance in the last couple of weeks and I think we could have beaten anybody in this division today with that performance.”
