Rob Page reflects on Scunthorpe United v Northampton Town
Cobblers boss Rob Page was full of pride as he reflected on Saturday’s 1-1 draw away at league leaders Scunthorpe United.
“I’m really proud of the group and against all the odds and down to ten men we’ve come away from the league leaders with a point,” he said.
“It’s a terrific point but I think it speaks volumes about the group that they are still a bit disappointed it’s only a point.
“The players showed tremendous character to come back with ten men and I think Scunthorpe only had one shot on target in the second half.
“We have got players with great character and there is a real never say die attitude within the group.
“Brendan Moloney was outstanding today and with JJ Hooper the goals will come. He’s a goalscorer and I’d be more concerned if he wasn’t getting the chances.
“We will have a look at Matt Taylor’s red card again over the weekend and if we feel we have a case we will look at an appeal.”
