ROB PAGE ON THE CHECKATRADE TROPHY LOSS AT COVENTRY CITY

4 October 2016

Rob Page reflects on Coventry City 3 Northampton Town 1

Cobblers boss Rob Page reflecting on Tuesday night’s EFL Trophy game at Coventry.

“We are disappointed to lose a game of course,” he said.

“We got off to the worst possible start but then got ourselves back into the game straight away.

“It was great for Marc Richards to get a goal and it was important we got some minutes into him and a few others.

“Alex Revell had a dead calf from the weekend and we didn’t want to risk him tonight. We rested a few others and that gave us the chance to give an opportunity to some players who haven’t had much game time this season.

“The goals we conceded were disappointing tonight but we dust ourselves down and go again on Saturday against Scunthorpe.”
