ROB PAGE ON SEPTEMBER MANAGER OF THE MONTH SHORTLIST

5 October 2016

Cobblers boss shortlisted for monthly honour

The September nominations for the Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month Award are:

Dave Flitcroft (Bury)
A perfect month guided by Flitcroft’s beliefs in attacking play and some shrewd moves at the end of the transfer window. Five wins from five games and a goal differential of 13-5 lifted Bury into the automatic promotion places.

Keith Hill (Rochdale)
Didn’t panic or abandon his passing principles when his side failed to win any of their first seven League One games. His faith was rewarded with three wins in a 10-point haul, including a stirring 3-2 comeback victory at Millwall.

Rob Page (Northampton Town)
Taking over a promoted side can be tricky but Page has made it look simple. A steady start to the season burst into life in September as he led his new side to four wins from five games, scoring 13 goals in the process.

Chris Wilder (Sheffield United)
After four nominations last season at former club Northampton, he has wasted little time securing his first one of this campaign, ignoring the pressure of managing the club he supports to inspire a 13-point haul from five unbeaten games.

ALL WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON FRIDAY OCTOBER 7 2016.

The judging panel comprises former Ipswich Town manager George Burley, Sky Sports’ EFL League expert Don Goodman; EFL Marketing Director Drew Barrand, League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery.
