Rob Page previews Scunthorpe United v Northampton Town

Cobblers boss Rob Page says his side will be ready for the challenge of travelling to to table toppers Scunthorpe United on Saturday.

“We don’t like losing games but our focus now is fully on Scunthorpe and what a great game to go and put things right,” he said.

“Scunthorpe have been outstanding and everybody I’ve spoken to has said how good they’ve been.

“We know that we are in for a tough game but we know that on our day we are a match for anybody. We will go with that confidence and belief and we will be going all out for the win.

“The players have proven that on big occasions they are more than capable of stepping up and there is enough experience in the group to manage games like this.

“We need to eradicate silly individual mistakes and again last week it was our own undoing that lost us the game. It’s not like teams have been cutting us open we’ve just switched off at important times.

“We know that we can work on it and improve and we will make sure it doesn’t happen again.

“It’s a tough month but that’s what we are in football for and we are really looking forward to the games we’ve got coming up.”
