Aiming to help 250 girls play football this week as part of FA campaign
Northampton Town are backing the FA's Girls’ Football Week, which was created to give girls and women more opportunities to play football.
The FA Girls' Football Week runs from Monday through to Sunday (16th October) with the sole aim of increasing female participation in our national game.
Northampton Town are aiming to help 250 girls play football this week in support of the campaign, and began the week with 5 open sessions for girls aged 5 to 12 years old at Northampton High School in Hardingstone on Monday, sessions that were attended by 89 players.
The club will be visiting a number of local schools during the rest of the week to encourage female participation in football.
