Rob Page reflects on Northampton Town v West Ham United

Cobblers boss Rob Page reflecting on Tuesday night’s Checkatrade Trophy game against West Ham United.

“It was a worthwhile exercise and it gave us the chance to look at the squad as a whole,” he said.

“We had the chance to give some minutes to players who needed them and it was an opportunity for the players who haven’t had as much involvement.

“I thought Alfie looked bright and it was beneficial for Joe to come on for the last twenty minutes.

“They had a lot of pace in their side and it was a good test for us but most importantly we haven’t picked up any injuries and now we look forward to a cracking game against Gillingham on Saturday.”
