Rob Page previews Northampton Town v West Ham United under 21s

Cobblers boss Rob Page called on his side to turn in another professional performance as previewed the final group game of the Checkatrade Trophy against West Ham United U21s at Sixfields on Tuesday night, KO 7.45pm.

Neither the Cobblers nor West Ham can qualify for the knock out stages, but Page said there is still plenty for the players to play for.

“We’ve got to be professional about our work like we were on Saturday,” he said.

“There is nothing on the game for us as a team but there is everything on the game for the players individually.

“There will be changes and it’s a chance for the players who come in to shine and show what they can do.

“It will be a good test for us against different opposition, we play a formation that is working for us from an attacking point of view and we will probably keep that the same.

“We are facing younger opposition but it’s about what we do. It’s another game for us and we want to win every game we go into.”
