EMILY THANKS CLUB AND SUPPORTERS FOR BACKING AT ANTHONY NOLAN CLINIC

9 November 2016

Supporter amazed by response at Harrow game

As you will recall, Northampton Town held an Anthony Nolan Clinic at Saturday's game to try and hep find a donor supporter Emily Rootes.

Emily has contacted the club to thank us for our support, confirming that an amazing 91 people were added to the Anthony Nolan database after Saturday's clinic.

"I just wanted to email you to thank you for everything you and the club have done," Emily wrote.

"I also wanted to thank you for allowing us to host a spit test clinic at the game on saturday, during the whole day and including the (evening) ball we got 91 people on the register which is amazing and Anthony Nolan can’t believe we pulled it off so thank you.

"We expected around 10 people to join so all my expectations were blown out of the water and it was amazing to see so many people who came down just to find out more information as they had seen the club advertise it all.

"The bucket collection also raised £519 after the generous donation that Marc Richards collected from the players. I’m literally lost for words at the genoristy from everyone and want to thank everyone for everything they did. i had so much support from fans, staff and the players and it meant the world. i couldn’t have pulled any of this off without the support from the club so thank you very very much.

"I just wanted you to know how grateful me and my family are for everything you’ve done, right down to the awareness raised through the club's actions. i have so much more chance of finding a donor now and I will be forever grateful!"

If you didn't manage to join the register on Saturday there is still time to help. Please visit anthonynolan.org for more information.
